We are seeing an increase of interest in people wanting to build and invest in Blayney.
With the potential new mine at Kings Plains we are determined not to miss the opportunity to develop high quality residential blocks and encourage our town and shire to grow.
Our investigations have revealed that there is current and future demand for new blocks yet there is still a price gap in the market that private developers cannot fill at the moment.
After a long period of exploring different options I’m really excited by this initiative to develop this land and create some momentum in our real estate, as well as acknowledging how confident that we are in the future of Blayney township and our shire.
Council has the advantage of being able access a very low interest loan from the state government directly supporting this type of development and infrastructure.
We will now progress with the Development Application for the land and will start considering the options for building the new street and infrastructure, as well as a future marketing strategy.
I am confident that this real estate development will be well received and will provide the confidence and encouragement to the private sector to enter the market and invest in our community into the future.
