For residents of Blayney the bike race means that streets and roads will be closed on the day, and extra care should be taken in the days leading up to the race as some riders prepare by riding along sections of the tracks.
From 6am to midday Adelaide Street from between Water St and Hobby’s Yard Rd will be closed as will the square surrounding Martin, Henry, Burns and Charles streets.
Streets to the west of Adeliade street will be open.
The Blayney to Hobby’s Yard Rd will be closed from 8am to 12.30pm as the riders all leave in groups based on which track they’re taking, and their cycling abilities.
