Six weeks ago the students were given the brief to identify an outdoor part of the school that is special to them, and to redesign it so that it is more welcoming for children and visitors.
With pens and pencils in hand the students took to the task with a gusto, re-designing the entry way, the cubby, the treehouse and entry to the office as just a few of the spaces chosen.
The students were required to draw a vision of what they would like, make a list of materials they would need to complete their design, consider their budget and to communicate to families what they would like them to do.
