Whereas Millthorpe and Newbridge will secure new fencing through the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities (SCC) Fund, Mr Toole said that Mandurama Recreation Ground’s old clubhouse had reached its use by date and would be replaced with a SCC grant of $75,831.
“This funding will see the old club house demolished and a new shelter built on a concrete slab which can be used for barbecues and other local community events,” the Member for Bathurst said.
“One end of the shelter will be walled as well as having a water tank, benchtop and sink and seating installed.”
The picture-perfect oval that is Redmond Oval at Millthorpe has had SCC funds totalling $58,426 allocated and Newbridge Showground will get a $55,884 makeover on its perimeter fence around the oval.
