Known to many in Millthorpe and across the district for their entertaining tales and songs, the Roweth team presented many renditions of their popular folk and bush music to over 60 people under the idyllic setting in Rosebank Guesthouse gardens.
Team organisers of the event Jenny and Richard Beach from Rosebank, Gerry Faulkner and Pattie McKenna spent many weeks working towards a relaxing and entertaining afternoon for many.
Local children Claudia and Flynn Ryan also contributed with their own poems in addition to the Roweth’s talented daughter Megan who presented a couple of Henry Lawson poems.
“We were absolutely delighted with the turn out of people on the day,” commented Jenny Beach.
“We also provided a BBQ and everyone enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to the many playful tunes of the Roweths.
“It was the perfect setting to enjoy folk music as part of the Banjo Patterson Festival and we kept going until 6.30pm that night.”
Millthorpe village plans to continue holding the Banjo Patterson event each year.
