The Book Fair is on over the final two weekends of April but the need at the moment is for books of any shape or description, (excepting encyclopaedias and magazines).
And if you’d like to help-out with sorting the books before the event, volunteers are also needed each Wednesday morning from 9.30am at the Church Hall in Adelaide Street.
Works can range from spy novels, crime fiction, travel, and personal discovery as well as classic DVDs and CDs. The event raises funds for the good works and administration costs of the Blayney Parish.
Bush Poetry in Millthorpe
Chloë and Jason Roweth have been researching and presenting the living tradition of Australian music for over twenty years.
Drawing their inspiration from the warmth of old-style bush entertainment and folklore, the Roweths work with vibrant arrangements of new and old traditional Australian ballads and work songs, early country music, original music, poetry, yarns, and dance tunes weaving together and carrying forward many threads of the Australian tradition.
They also specialise in themed presentations, forging unique combinations of music, folklore and social history.
Hosted by the Millthorpe Village Committee in the beautiful gardens of Rosebank, 38-40 Victoria Street.
Saturday February 17 at 1pm. Entry $5 per person (children free).
Farmers markets fourth year
The Blayney Farmers Market is back for 2018 and it is sure to be a fantastic day.
This Sunday will see live music by Greg Jefree who will debut at the Blayney market, alongside your favourite stall holders.
Stall holders are always bringing lovely produce and products to the markets, such as Honeysuckle Farm and Sam and Diba Samimi’s hand grown fresh vegetables.
