Councillor Geoff Braddon has bowed out from re-election in this year’s local government election stating that he’s finally had enough.

“I’ve been here since 1978 so that’s forty years and I’ve just had enough,” he said.
Known for his frank comments during council meetings, Cr Braddon said that on September 9 he was unsure who to vote for.
“It’s the first time I won’t be voting for myself,” he said.
If choice is what you want, well then choice is what we’ll be having on September 9.
Ten candidates have nominated for election, including four of the current standing councillors.
Crs Allan Ewin, David Somervaille, Scott Ferguson and David Kingham will be looking to return to their seats whilst new candidates Bruce Reynolds, Nyree Reynolds, Delanie Sky, Anastasia Webster-Hawes, Scott Denton and John Newstead make up the ten.
