“We would have more than 5000 books this year,” organiser Elizabeth Russ explained. “We’ve got novels, autobiography, gardening, history, humour, lifestyle, poetry, as well as politics, travel, sport, war and parenting books,” Elizabeth added.

Uganda Mission fundraiser
The Abundant Life Church is organising a fundraising movie afternoon to raise funds for Ruth Appleby whose aim it is to return to Uganda and develop her business Makoru (mother and kids of rural Uganda) and work with mums and babies in Uganda, Africa.
The Disney movie, Queen of Katwe will be shown on Sunday April 23 at 3pm at the church at 118 Adelaide Street.
The entry is by donation with adults being a note, kids are a gold coin.
Museum on hunt for food displays
The Orange Regional Museum is calling on the community to search through cupboards, sheds, family heirlooms and albums for items to contribute to its new exhibition.
The exhibition Paddock to Plate, expected to be open in FOOD Week 2018, will focus on the rich history of food growing in the region and how it shaped the area’s culture, economy and has led to the region’s strong reputation as a food and wine hub.
