The Lachlan Endurance Riders Club ran this very successful ride which was very well supported by NSW and Victoria riders alike.
Both days saw pretty good weather conditions with some great bursts of sun and only a bit of drizzle.
The Neville forest provides riders with a challenging course over hills and rocky terrain but also offers some beautiful trails nestled within the pine trees.
This year’s winner was Middleweight rider Tracy-Lee Feltrin riding Oso Ellazandra in a time of 5.14.26.
Tracy also received Best Conditioned for her efforts. Literally hot on Tracy’s heels in 2nd place was local Heavyweight rider, John Robertson from Karabil Arabians in Hobbys Yards riding his fabulous purebred gelding, Karabil Asis in a time of 5.14.34.
John and Asis also received Best Conditioned for their efforts.
2 nd Heavyweight position went to Gary Pevy on Just Cruzin with a riding time of 6.26 followed by Kathryn Priol on Kalkadoon Lucifer with a riding time of 6.43.
2nd Middleweight position and 2nd position overall went to Gertrude Norton riding Scarlet Oaks Amica in a ride time of 5.14.36. 3rd Middleweight went equally to Tayla Hadzi on Oso Ngaire and local Orange rider, Ben Hudson teaming back up with the Oso owned 2015 Tom Quilty Winner, Cap Braveheart with the ride time of 5.17.
For the lightweight division, we had Kristie Wright from Harden on the super mare Wybalena Lodge Aflirt with a ride time of 5.28. Kristie and Aflirt aka Porky also received Best Conditioned.
2nd Lightweight went equally to Victoria Bice on Oso Bettina, Cherry Cummins on Oso Nicholas and Sorsha Stuart-Rokvic on Oso Spiralling Wind with the time of 6.30.
A fabulous effort from the girls.
Not forgetting the Junior division, 1st Junior was Tahnaya Merceica riding Brag Ngood in a time of 6.30.20 with 2nd Junior position going to Alison Noble on Springridge Elite with the time 6.30.32 and a very special mention going to up and coming 10 year old rider, Emma Cole taking 3rd Junior riding Windradyne Flame completing her 2nd 80km endurance ride ever.
Flame was bred by Greg and Louise Hamilton of Windradyne Arabians at Canowindra.
