In 2016 they had just over 40 entries, but so far they’ve notched up 85, meaning that the judges will have their work cut out for them before the opening night.
Coordinator Loretta Kervin said that the physical delivery of the pieces was on Thursday and judging would be happening on Friday by some of the most respected artists in the region.
“Well known artists from across the NSW such as Joe Penn and Lesley O’Shea from Portland, Andrew Whitehead from Urana, Dean and Helen Mobbs of Bathurst and President of the Hand weavers and Spinners Association, Margaret Hobba are expected to be challenged judging the many entries from a wide variety of categories,” she said.
The general public will also get to vote in the People’s Choice award
Opening night is this Friday at 6pm. Entry is $5 and includes a glass of Angullong wine and canapes supplied by Blayney High School
