Chairman of the committee established to coordinate the book, John Willing, said that the book would be ready late in 2017.
“It won’t only be a record of a point in time, but will be a valuable research tool for families and historians in the future,” he said, “We have already identified about 90 houses that fit into that category.”
Titled ‘Historic Homes of Millthorpe and District’ the book will include homes within the 2798 postcode that were built between the time of the oldest known house ‘Grove Farm’, built in 1834, and finishing 100 years later in 1934.
This is not Mr Willing’s first foray into publishing having completed a similar project in Grenfell.
Fliers will be going out to households over the following weeks detailing how to participate in the project.
