Millfest is Millthorpe’s answer to a street party and Christmas festival with Pym Street closed off for all to enjoy lots of festivity.
All shops and cafes are open, with an additional 40 stallholders lining the middle of Pym Street featuring an array of products, local produce, gourmet food, refreshments, local wine and beer.
There is plenty of entertainment and activity for the kids and family including a jumping castle and more importantly a visit from Santa.
Lots of local musicians will produce live music all day.
Major organiser for the event and owner of Vine Venture Tours, Brad Ashton commented that the event would not have been put together without the major sponsors Beekeepers Inn and First National Real Estate.
“These events run on nothing and the additional help from our major sponsors has allowed us to put together another great Millfest,” said Ashton.
“The volunteers across Millthorpe and the community have also been an enormous help.
“It’s a great way to celebrate the end of year and for families and the community to come together, do a little shopping, sample all the lovely local produce and enjoy beautiful Millthorpe.
“Entry is by gold coin donation and there are plenty of cafes and shops open and the stalls all have a unique offering too.”
