Mr Grant played in five Tests with the Wallabies and toured with them in 1988. The following year he switched codes to play with Balmain and was a try-scorer in the losing grand final against Canberra in extra time.
Grant left Balmain in 1992 to play for Hull in England and returned in 1995 to play for the Western Reds for one season.
Following his retirement he acted as a Country NSW development officer.
