Both Blayney Rams coach Brock Syphers and president Craig Gosewisch are thinking the same thing about this Saturday’s grand final against Temora: has the fact the Rams have only played two matches in the past six weeks done them any favours?

Temora has had a different lead-up to the final and after their solid win against Cootamundra on the weekend, the Tusker’s continuing games may well make all the difference.
“For the first time all year we have all our players back and all we have to do is play our normal game and not be too complacent either,” Syphers said.
But Syphers thinks that Cootamundra’s last minute try during their recent finals clash wasn’t born of complacency, it may well have been something else.
“We weren’t complacent, it was probably more to do with match fitness than anything, but seeing as they have no games the weekend after, they’ll be going in boots and all,” he said.
With a full complement of players to choose from, and only 25 players to field, Syphers said that he had to take one for the team.
“It was really difficult to choose who to leave behind because we have 27 players and we’ve had one fellow who was filling in for us and he had to sit out, so I put my hand up, and everyone deserves to play, so I took one for the team,” he said.
