Organised by the Carmanhurst Villages Association, the meet the pollies session will be held in the Carcoar School of Arts at 6pm.
Organiser and president of the CVA, Eric Foote, said that every candidate had been invited to attend this important event and each was been given equal time.
“They will have five minutes to introduce themselves and talk about what they believe in and what their vision is for the shire,” he said.
Following on from the introduction, Mr Foote said the community will have an opportunity to ask questions, and like the television show, there will be guidelines.
The order of speakers will be selected by lots drawn immediately prior to the meeting,” he said.
“Five minutes will be allocated to each speaker and members of the audience will be given an opportunity to join in a brief Question & Answer section, under the guidance of the moderator.”
Mr Foote said that he believed that the majority of the questions would be around the three R’s of local government; roads, rubbish and rates.
For those that have questions but not the means of travelling to Carcoar, Mr Foote said that questions can be submitted directly to him by email, or sent to the Blayney Chronicle via email or Facebook.
“We really want ratepayers to ask the questions that they’ve always wanted answers for,” he said.
