Saints took the momentum from the end of the regular season into the elimination final at Carrington Park, destroying the Tigers to the tune of 64-14.
Pat’s centre Adam Morton had a field day in the crushing victory as he ran in five tries.
A flying start from the Saints got them out to a 22-0 lead in the space of just 12 minutes.
Tigers struck back twice before the break but the Saints were playing a level above on their way to a 32-10 half-time lead.
The positive football from Pat’s continued into the second half with a relentless barrage of tries.
The Tigers defence simply wasn’t present on the edges, as Pat’s continually sent the ball wide and made every chance count.
Saints captain-coach Rhys Frame is happy with the way his team have improved over the back half of the season.
“The boys are sticking together and we’re just trying to bring a bit of fun into the club,” he said.
“First grade went pretty bad this year and at the start of the season we didn’t win one for six games but now we’re just having fun out there.”
Pat’s have booked a minor semi-final meeting with Orange CYMS, after they went down 22-20 to Lithgow Workies on Saturday.
“It will be close. They beat us once and we beat them the second time. Anything can happen in semi-finals,” Frame said.
