Both the Blayney Bears League Tag side and Under 18s have found themselves at fourth place on the ladder, a spot that has them facing the dreaded elimination semi-finals.

League tag coach Steve Mooney said that his side simply have to stay switched on to the final siren to progress into the final.
“We were winning 10-6 until about five minutes before the end of the game and they switched off like they have done too many times before,” he said.
“Their ears were ringing at the end of that match.”
This Saturday the side will be heading to Mudgee to take on Workies, and Mooney said that they will be at full strength.
“Sophie Stammers will be back so if we play to form, we should be alright,” he said.
Under 18s coach Richard Hobby is also facing an elimination final in Mudgee on Saturday, his opponents though will have a home turf advantage.
“We drew against them in the first round and were beaten 18-10 in the second just two weeks ago, but if they play like they did against CYMS last Sunday, we’ll be in with a real chance,” he said.
Hobby admits his isn’t a big side, unlike CYMS who wore them down in the centre last week, but he knows where their strengths lie.
“We’re really strong in defence and Mudgee are weak on the edges and we’ll be at pretty much full strength on Saturday,” he said.
