​TUESDAY, 12.30PM: Police have confirmed one person has died in a two-vehicle crash on the Mitchell Highway this morning.

A car and truck collided near the Beekeepers Inn at Macquarie Woods about 9am.

Crash investigators remain on the scene and the Mitchell Highway is still shut both directions.

A diversion is in place along the Mid Western Highway and Millthorpe Road. The diversion is suitable for all vehicles.
