Sports awards for April – May

The chairman of the Blayney shire sports council, Cr. David Kingham, has announced the latest winners of the bi-monthly sports awards.

The junior winner was Luke Cheney for his training and successful riding of Canome Lindee in campdrafting events in NSW.

The senior winner was Sophie Stammers for her skill, determination and success in women’s tag rugby league.

Keith Kearney was chosen as the senior winner for winning the Blayney A grade golf championship.

The volunteer winner was Wayne Fenwick for his dedication and inspiration as promotions director of the Blayney golf club.

Shailee Millthorpe, Ebony Hewitt and Kirsten Spackman have won the teams award for their 1st and 2nd placing in the youth division of the Lyndhurst team penning.
