Joseph Bernardi, CEO Bernardi’s said that banning plastic bags and ensuring Bernardi’s customers aren’t contributing to the 10 million plastic bags used every day, is a step in the right direction.
“"We are very excited about this positive step and have received an overwhelmingly positive response from our customers,” Mr Bernardi said.
"We will be researching a number of reusable bags but as always we will supply free boxes for those not wanting to purchase them from us.
“We also encourage shoppers to bring in their own bags."
