“We’ve been guaranteed by the contractors Brownrite Building Construction that all work will be finished by the 30th of June,” he said.
Mr Hedge said that the soft furnishings for the room will begin to appear as soon as the contractors have dusted themselves off and left the site, and that the community needed to be thanked for all the work that they have put in to realise the rooms.
“It’s been quite a big achievement for the community to be putting in $70,000 of the $184,000 needed,” he said.

Even after finding all the building money, local service clubs are now raising money to help fit out the rooms with soft furnishings for the family members and general aesthetics.
“Inner Wheel have donated $2,500 for soft furnishings and the Hospital Auxiliary have also put in a few bob themselves so overall it should be well fitted out and ready to roll within a few weeks,” Mr Hedge said.
