With Oberon’s captain coach Luke Branighan being confirmed as not playing this Sunday because of a hamstring injury, Hornby is feeling confident.
“Our boys played incredibly well against Panthers during the second half last weekend so I’m fairly confident of knocking Oberon off this weekend,” he said.
Oberon have had a flawless start to the season, at least when playing at home.
“They (Oberon) played away last weekend and they got beat, but they’re always a tough club to beat at home,” he said.
Hornby said that the bears will have a full complement of players this Sunday, and a few extras, and that that will certainly add a spring to the side’s step.

“This week I hope we’ll have two fresh reserves and if they play like they did during the second half against Panthers, we’ll be right,” he said.
