Babette from Blayney Station was a marvellous help in organising the trip and we thank her for her assistance.
We enjoyed a Christmas dinner in the beer garden, and although the day was warm there was plenty of shade and high spirits.
This year began with a sewing bee to rehang our banners, on January10th.
This coincided with Inner Wheel Day, which is celebrated worldwide to commemorate the founding of Inner Wheel in Manchester, UK, in 1924. Inner Wheel came to Australia in 1931, starting with Ballarat and North Sydney Clubs, the first to be chartered outside the UK, and it is now one of the largest women’s organisations worldwide.
Fundraising for our sponsored child at the School of St Jude in Tanzania continues to be one of the major focuses for the Blayney Club.
Daniel has now begun Secondary School and we are enormously proud of him. The profits from our meeting on 28th March will go to this project.
Tickets will be available at the Blayney Visitors’ Centre.
