TWO of Australia’s well-known folk singers, poets and song writers, Jason and Chloe Roweth, are gracing our little village as part of the Banjo Paterson Poetry Festival on Saturday at Rosebank Gallery and Guesthouse garden from 1pm to 6pm.

Jason and Chloe Roweth have reignited and preserved the old bush songs of Australia for over 20 years.
Their inspiration is drawn from the warmth of the old-style bush entertainment.
The Roweths work with vibrant arrangements of new and old traditional Australian ballads and bush songs, which also include early country music, original music, poetry, the famous yarns and dance.
These are woven together in Australian tradition using their unique vocals, guitars and mandolin
Their fun and entertaining performance is infectious and they have a strong reputation as two of the finest interpreters of Australian traditional folk music.
Bush poetry, school performances, professional entertainers, markets, golf, barbecues and camp oven cooking are just some of the attractions.
There is also the opportunity for community members and visitors to Orange to show their skills in poetry recital and musical entertainment.

Orange’s festival
JOINING Orange’s Banjo Paterson Poetry Festival from Thursday to Sunday, February 26, the Millthorpe Business Committee produced a co-ordinated effort to bring Jason and Chloe Roweth to present the talented duo’s bush songs and poetry to Millthorpe.
Speaking on behalf of the business committee chairman Peter Christie commented that this brings a fresh new event to Millthorpe.
“We are constantly looking at new entertainment for tourists and local people across the district,” said Mr Christie.
“The Roweths are extremely talented and bring a new energetic music to Millthorpe. Their music is refreshingly open and spacious like the Australian country they sing about.”
