Those details have been nailed down now.
Next year, while also being a stand-alone event, the Bathurst Half-Marathon will become one of the legs in the NSW Regional Distance Running Championship.
The Colour City, Mudgee and Carcoar Cup Running Festivals plus the Dubbo Stampede’s half-marathon will also be part of the championship.
There will be almost $10,000 worth of prizes to be won across five age group divisions –men’s and women’s categories too.
“The prestige of such a championship, combined with the rewards, will give a considerable boost to numbers,” Carcoar Cup director Andrew Baulch said.
