Thanks to the efforts of Blayney Shire Council, the Blayney Town Association Inc and Blayney High School’s Renew Project students, the skate park will save local riders a trip into nearby centres.
“The only place we can ride around Blayney is on the streets,” said Renew student Bailee Selten, “Otherwise we have to go into Orange or Millthorpe.”
Mayson McPaul said that he’s been lobbying for a skate park for years.
“I’ve been wanting this for at least three years now,” he said.
Mayor, Scott Ferguson said the park was a high priority.
“A workshop is being planned for mid-December to gather the students, users, stakeholders and community feedback about the skate park’s design,” he said.
