Hobby was a monster in the front-row for the Rams against the Federation of Italia Rugby League Australia under 16s Blue side, one that proved too good in a 28-14 win over the hosts.
Joe Hobby, fantastic, he played multiple positions for us this year.
- Rams under 16s coach Jamie Szczerbanik
Hobby has represented Western and NSW Country in 2016, having just returned from a week-long tour of Samoa with the country side last week.
Rams coach Jamie Szczerbanik was full of praise for Hobby, a player who played prop, lock, backrow and in the centres for Western throughout its country championship campaign.
“Brock Naden, Matt Burton, Joe Hobby, fantastic, he played multiple positions for us this year. To really pick one bloke out would be unfair on the other boys,” Szczerbanik said.
“One guy, who didn’t get to play (on Saturday), was Hudson Spicer, he was sensational all year.”
