To be held on Saturday October 29, the committee is looking for expressions of interest from young, free-spirited ladies aged 18-25 from Carcoar and surrounding districts to represent the town in the competition.
Secretary Joanna Tait said that the committee were asking for expression of interest by September 1.
“2013 was the last time we ran a Miss Carcoar, and because Miss Eppelstun is here to open the show, we thought it would be a great experience for young ladies to have,” she said.

Mrs Tait said that Miss Carcoar was certainly not just a beauty pageant.
“It’s more so to do about how they present themselves and their knowledge of local news and issues,” she said, “To prepare themselves all they really need to do is catch up by reading ‘The Land.’”
Winning Miss Carcoar doesn’t end there though.
The winner would then be able to travel to Cowra to take part in the zone finals.
The top three from there travel to Sydney for ten days of judging in 2017.
