Applications for the grants close on July 15. They are given out on a dollar-for-dollar basis and obviously it’s essential that you meet council’s guidelines for these projuects.
These are available on the Blayney Shire Council’s website, but for application forms you need to call Patsy Moppett on 6368 2104.
Peter Christie of The Salon des Refusés in Pym Street has found them very useful on two of his restoration projects.
“I have received a grant for painting of my church at Barry and the re-roofing of my shop at Millthorpe,” he said.
But he cautions to “act now as it does sometimes take some time to arrange the necessary quotations for submission to council.”
