Players traveled from all over the central west and beyond for this popular event.
It is hosted by Blayney Table Tennis and is supported by local and Sydney-based sponsors with prizes valued at $2500.
The top central west player was Richard Forbes (7th overall) who plays for the Bathurst District Table Tennis Association.
The second best central west player was tournament organizer Matthew Crane (10th) of Blayney Table Tennis.
The third best central west player was Steve Hithcock (12th) of Bathurst.
The top 6 positions were filled by players who travelled from other parts of NSW and the ACT to play.
The event was won by Australia's current national junior champion Rohan Dhooria of the ACT.
Second was Nick Brown of the Nepean club based at Penrith.
Bruce Judge, the winner in 2013 and 2014, from the Kogarah club had to settle for third on this occasion.
Other Blayney Table Tennis players competing included Eleanor Crane (second best female player and 20th player overall), Carly Williams (fourth best female player and 23rdoverall), Nick Grimmett (best AWD player and 26th overall), Hayden Williams (28th), Gianni Pauletto (34th) Anthony Taylor (37th), Tate Juffermanns (39th) and Nick Jones (40th).
It was a great experience, especially for the Blayney Juniors, to be able to play against some of Australia's and NSW's best players.
Nick and Anthony are two players who are relatively newcomers so it was great to see them taking on the challenge of competing against much more experienced players.
A number of Blayney players (Matthew Crane, Anthony Taylor) won $100 vouchers from Bob Jane's TMart in Orange for coming first on their table in the final round.
A number of others (Eleanor Crane, Carly Williams, Nick Grimmett, Gianni Pauletto) won $20 certificates for the Royal Hotel Blayney or the TableTennisWorld shop that was at the event.
After the event a large group of players attended the Royal Hotel for dinner and a drink to celebrate the tournament.
The social aspect of the tournament is a great attraction for many of he competitors.
Many of these players stayed overnight in Blayney to see the local area and attractions on Sunday before returning home.
