The festival is in its fifth year and attracted hundreds of serious and social runners from 170 different towns and cities across Australia, as well as attracting international competitors from Canada, Scotland, South Africa and Germany.
Event director Andrew Baulch was thrilled with the turnout, with the inclusion of the Carcoar Cup for Kids encouraging participants of all ages to enter.
"We had great fields in all races, including a mass of children running in the Carcoar Cup for Kids," he said.
"It was just the most spectacular sight with well over 100 kids charging down Belubula St to go around the Court House Corner," said Mr Baulch.
Hope Coombs of Bathurst was the overall winner of the Kids race while Stirling Farr, from Blayney, took out the boys division.
The Marathon was hotly contested with Olympian Martin Dent winning it in 2 hours, 36 minutes and 11 seconds, smashing the previous record by three minutes.
Blue Mountains Ultra Marathon runner Brendan Davies, won the 60 kilometre race - his second time as the victor.
He said the Carcoar Cup race is one of the highlights on his calendar, due to the varying elements of the course.
"I had a great time at the Carcoar Cup running festival again this year," he said.
"It's one of my favourite small town community events. Has it all; the stockwhip start, the Wild West looking main street, a kids race, half, marathon, ultra and a cracking hilly country roads course full of the elements," said Brendan.
After the success of this year's event, 2016 is shaping up to be one not to miss!
