Film makers Sam Colman and Adam Speechley, who both grew up in Blayney, shot the film in Orange's Cook Park.
The film was entered into an international short film competition (MyRODEReel).
The film, Fa ade, is a message to people who feel alone in the world, that there are people who want to help.
"You never know when an opportunity may arise, so don't hesitate to seize it," Sam and Adam said in their submission.
They shot two different versions of the film on the same day, one with a female as the lead role and the other one that is online, where a male is the lead role.
They wanted to explore the different ways in which a male and female would go about talking to the young man in the film.
Fa ade was shot in Cook Park, Orange with no budget using an NTG 3 with the Rode Blimp for all the audio in the film and a VideoMic Pro for the BTS video.
They used their BlackMagic Pocket Cinema camera with a Tamron 24-70.
To hold the camera steady they employed Frank our 3LT Tripod and edited the video with Adobe Premier Pro CS6, graded with Magic Bullet Looks and wrote the script with Final Draft.
The actors were Darrin Yates, Dyaln Swain and Cin Jackson who generously donated their time.
Filming started about 10.30am and remarkably was finished at about 12 noon.
Sam and Adam had the competition version of the film finished and exported at 7pm that night.
Facade is their second short film.
They had previously shot a film titled "Noir Detective".
"We wanted this one to be a lot more serious than Noir," Sam said.
"We also have many other films in the works at the moment.
"We plan to film a
Featurette in November and expect it to be about 40-50 minutes in length," he said.
Sam and Adam began making videos in 2014 and have been hard at work to continue well into the furture.
