His nephew, Lance Vane of Tucker Street, Blayney, had the medals of both wars in a small original school port in his garage.
Lance has sold his home and when his family was helping to pack up his belongings, it was discovered the small port was missing.
Old Vic, as he was known in later years, had a saying "Believe me lad," received shrapnel wounds to his back in WWI but signed up for WWII to once again fight for his country.
I am sure he wouldn't be pleased that somebody had his medals, who wasn't entitled to have them.
On behalf of all the Vane family, I sincerely beg who may have them in their possession to do the right thing and return them to the Vane family.
Kevin (Scally) Radburn Snr., married to Uncle Vic's niece Nona.
