POLICE have charged a man following a house fire at Canowindra on Friday morning.

Shortly before 1am emergency services responded to reports of a house fire at Charlotte Street.
Upon arrival, police from Canobolas Local Area Command found the home well alight.
NSW Fire and Rescue personnel also attended and extinguished the blaze a short time later.
No one was home at the time of the incident and there were no reports of injuries.
A crime scene was established at the home and examined by detectives and specialist forensic officers.
Following further inquiries, a 40-year-old male resident was arrested on Mandurama Road about 8.30am on Saturday.
He was taken to Cowra Police Station, where he was later charged with damage property by fire.
The man was refused bail to appear before Orange Bail Court on Saturday.
