The grounds looked a picture and the two marquees were much appreciated by the 90 to 100 people who attended.

The service was conducted by our Presbytery Minister Reverend Karyn Burchell-Thomas.

A fitting touch to the service was that there were two people present in the congregation who had been at the laying of the foundation stone for the modern St Peters Church in 1939.

These being Joe Brown of "Cross Hills" Hobbys Yards and Lindsay Mackellar of Bathurst whose family association goes back to the original St Peters built in 1864. Also in the congregation was Margret Lyburn who was the first baby to be baptised in the "new" church.

An interesting touch was Ian Dowsett arriving with his grandchildren in a horse and buggy just as his family did in years gone by.

The congregation of Neville Hobbys Yards would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who helped make this such a wonderful day - the Dwyer family for keeping the grounds looking so neat, Mackintosh Macphillamy and Morse & Co. for the marquees and the local men who helped erect them, the Hobbys Yards RFS for the barbecue and the boys who manned it for the day, the Ladies Fellowship for organising the food, Blayney High School for the loan of tables and chairs, all the guest who brought a plate to share, the local people who loaned photos and memorabilia to go on the display boards - a special thank you to Lindsay Mackellar for putting together this interesting display - Robynne our organist for the flowers in the church, Janet for her computer skills and paperwork and Don for his co-coordinating and logistics.

I know there will be people that I have not mentioned for that I apologise. It was a very lovely day.
