You can smell the aroma of recipes being perfected. Photographs are being framed. Pets are being preened. Cattle and horses are being groomed.
It all means that the village's biggest event of the year is about to happen: the Neville Show is all set for Saturday, November 8.
The one-day extravaganza is the culmination of a year-long planning operation by a team of volunteers who have been working tirelessly to ensure this year's show impresses more than ever.
There are cookery, flowers, photography, pets and craft competitions, as well as the more traditional farming skills - cattle, chainsaw and horsemanship.
There is still time to enter your favourite event.
"Be in it to win it" and forms are available at the website nevillevillage.net.au
For spectators, all the fair dinkum activities typical of a country show will be at the Neville Showground to make up a time-honoured family day out.
These include a ute round-up, displays of vintage tractors and steam engines, a grand parade, a performance by Neville school children, live music from Julia And Doug, a Find the Bears competition, wagon rides, Light Horse and World War I exhibits, a white elephant stall and other stalls and displays.
Be a part of the fun - the Neville Show is an affordable day out for everyone.
It's only $5 an adult and $2 a child to get in and the fun goes all day starting from 10am.
