On Friday, September 5, Stirling Farr joined a large group of Catholic Primary School students at the Hunter Sports Centre in Glendale to compete in the Polding Region Athletics Carnival.

Students from Armidale, Bathurst, Broken Bay, Lismore and Wilcannia Forbes Dioceses travelled long distances to compete in this Carnival. Stirling was placed third in his 100m heat and he ran 5th in the final, which was a very close race.
He then competed in the Junior Boys Long Jump. Stirling gained first place in this event with a jump of 4.01m.
He now travels to Sydney to compete in the State Primary Schools Athletic Carnival.
