THE chicken run held on Friday August 3 saw Brian Turner win the Robanco voucher with net 26, the chicken winner was Beryl Tolhurst with net 27.
On Saturday August 4, members played an 18 hole stroke event for the Patrons trophy and the August monthly medal.
The winner on a day of difficult scoring was Tony Smith with net 70, the A grade runner up was Don Eves with net 72 on a count back and the B grade runner up was Brian Turner with net 75.
Ball competition winners were Tony Bowers net 72 and Gerry Davis net 73.
The nearest the pin winners with their tee shots to the par 3 2nd hole were A grade Tony Bowers 242cms and B grade John Davis 1300cms.
This Saturday members will play an 18 hole stableford event for the Andy Wilcock trophy, Saturday August 18 members will play the 2012 members foursomes championships over 27 holes in A,B and C grades.
On Saturday August 25 members will play an 18 hole stroke event for the Barry Walker trophy and the qualifying round for the 2012 Salter cup and on Sunday August 26 a working bee will be held to renovate the greens.
On Monday August 6 the veterans braved the winter chill to play an 18 hole stableford event for a club trophy.
The winner was Brian Turner with 38 stableford points, the runner up was Paul Keen with 37 points and the nearest the pin winner was Fred Simmons.
