TWELVE candidates will battle it out to claim one of seven councillor positions on Blayney Shire Council.
The NSW Electoral Commission has confirmed Mira Cameron, Shane Oates, Andrew Baulch, Geoff Braddon, Bruce Pine, Allan Ewin, Scott Ferguson, Kevin Radburn, David Somervaille, Peter Hildenbeutel, David Kingham and John Collins will contest the September 8 election.
For the first time in decades, no resident residing in Millthorpe will contest the election and the thriving village will be without a local representative on the new council.
Only one female candidate has put her name forward, ensuring the new council will again be dominated by men.
