One of the organisers, Cecily Walters, said the motif of three trees must be placed in the same position and "be proportioned as the given ... picture".
"The exhibition is somewhat unique and a challenge as all exhibitors will be required to include a motif, chosen by the 'Textures of One' committee, in their work.
"Any medium or combination of media may be used," she said, about the competition which is open to anyone living in the Central West of NSW.
The categories include art, textiles, decorate and other "not mentioned".
Entries must be between A4 and 1m by 1m.
It will cost $25 for each entry with funds raised going "back into the Blayney community", said Mrs Walter as the exhibition is a not-for-profit event.
The exhibition will be held on 14-15-16 March next year at the Blayney Shire Community Centre.
