Organiser of the Blayney event at the Presbyterian Church, Lola Wyatt, said it was the 13th annual such event organised there and the last.
"We've raised over $1000 every year, but it's too much work for us, so that's why it's our last year," she said.
Meanwhile at Barry's event which drew people from across that village, Neville and even Blayney, organiser Joan Stonestreet said about 50 people attended.
"The local progress association has put it on and we'd be happy to raise about $300 from today's event," she said.
They raised more than that, with Kim Cheney, the association's treasurer/secretary reporting after the event that a whopping $389.40 had been raised.
