Blayney mens bowls report

On the weekend, January 28 and 29 the A Grade fours were played, done and dusted for the year.

The results are as follows:

Saturday January 28 - B Davey, D Hildebrandt, A Nunn and G Ford 21 defeated Skippy, Butch, G Welch and R Stinson 9.

Sunday January 29 (morning) - G Ford and team 29 defeated D Hillier, B Gressor, B Prosper and R May 9; A Eves, D Eves, S Garside and Don Eves 27 defeated K Ryan, A O'Dea, J O'Dea and J Russell 12.

The final was played in the afternoon with G Ford 25 defeating D Eves 9.

Congratulations to the winners, looking at the scores they fired all weekend.

Wednesday bowls saw 14 turn up for one game of triples and two games of pairs.

R Miskell, B Gressor and R Nowland 13 defeated T Cheshire, R May and D Hillier 6; N Kable and J pollard 13 defeated H Mooney and G Mendham 2; R Neely and P Davies 12 defeated G Death and G Holland 7.

Friday twilights saw 32 players turn up for four triples and two pairs games.

T Fenton, W Newstead and M Kinghorne 25 defeated P Wells, R Buesnell and E Parker 11; W Hobby, S Garside and A Nunn 12 defeated V Woodford, M McAlister and W Eason 11; C Bright, T Ryan and S Connolly 16 defeated T Simmons, R Simmons and J Davis 8; D Hodson, R Wade and B Gressor 12 defeated Dal Cook, B Seberry and J Adams 9; P Davies and H Mooney 12 defeated A Orenshaw and B Davey 10; D Hillier and R Southcombe 16 defeated D Hildy and T Cheshire 10.

Chicken run results: Julia playing swinger, R Simmons and T Simmons 16 defeated C Prosper and G Death 13; M Kingham and C Farr 26 defeated G Roach and M Kinghorne 3; C Gosewich and T Cheshire 23 defeated Shorty Jenner and RIP 11.

We still need more teams for triples. Pennant sides are on the board. Good luck to our sides in the district triples. Bowl well.
