Wednesday Bowls

Eighteen bowlers for three games of triples.

R Neely, N Kable, P Davies defeated R Marriott, H Mooney, J Ryan 31-6.

J Davis, g Death, B Heterick defeated W Mason, K Hodge, R Nowland 17-16.

G Mendham, H Crase, K Baker defeated H Goodacre, J Pollard, B Gressor 21-15.

Don’t forget the half yearly party on June 25. There is a sheet on the board.

Friday Afternoon

Twenty for two games of triples and two pairs.

N Morgan, B Seberry, Dal Cook defeated F McCarthy, Bruce, B Heterick 16-11.

T Cheshire, Ticker, Ripper defeated D Hodson, J Adams, A Simpson 19-8.

R Dwyer, K O’Leary defeated W Mason, K Hodge 20-7.

P Davies, H Crase defeated G Mendham, R Nowland 18-7.

Sunday Chicken Run

A good roll up saw 25 play three games of triples and two games of pairs.

G Roach Jnr, T Cheshire, S Garside defeated B Hewitt, G Roach, K O’Leary 18-6.

M Lees, H Smith, R Stinson defeated C Prosper, G Leson, P Lees 15-13.

B lees playing swinger K Ryan, DJ Russell defeated James Adams, John Adams 20-6.

\J Hewitt, B Prosper defeated M McKenna, S Connolly 22-6.

M Kingham, W McLaren defeated G Parker, T Ryan 19-5.

Nearly as bad as the roosters a RIP.

Championships June 14 and 15

A Grade Fours

Saturday G Wright versus B Gressor, winner to play D Eves on Sunday June 15.

John Adams versus L Stinson, there are also sheets on the board for social bowls on June 15 and 16.

The surrounds work at the club is progressing well with the fence finished and chips laid on the gardens.

A big thank you to all workers who helped especially T Ryan and T Cheshire who always make themselves available when there are things to be done.

With Championships almost finished and bowls winding down we need some ideas to keep people interested so if you have any viable ideas please let the bowling secretary know. Good bowling. The Cloud

BLAYNEY WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB NEWS

The results of the social triples match played last Thursday June 5 was Daphne Yeats, Glad McCrea and Dorrie Goodacre defeated Mona Marshall, Nell Morgan and Judy Claypole 25-5.

In the other pairs match Jenny Graham and Del Hodson defeated royal Hammond and Jan Patterson 15-8 and the spider was won by Jenny Graham.

Many best wishes to glad McCrea who celebrated her birthday on June 8.

The Quarterly Meeting will be held today followed by a Committee Meeting.

The Club Birthday will be held on June 19.

Hostesses for June 12 are Jenny Graham and Lyn Cunningham and for June 19, Jan Patterson and Belle McLoughlin.

MILLTHORPE BOWLING CLUB NEWS

Our “In town, out of town” challenge was held Monday with about 30 bowlers attending.

The morning games ended with a total score of 79 to the “In town” team and 65 to the out of towners.

After lunch the “out of town” teams did very well to score 89 shots to 49 over the in town players.

The totals for the day were 154 to the out of town team and 128 to the in town team.

Championship games for Sunday June 15 are Newans, Roach, Kingham and McNamara to play Cole, McDonald, Paul and parker at 10am.

The winners of this game will then play Paul, Ryan, Wells and Halliday in the final at 2pm.

Social bowls are on every Sunday names in by 1.30 for 2.00 start.
