Last Wednesday we had 20 bowlers for two games of pairs and two games of triples.
Game 1 - Harry Crase and Bruce Gresser had a comfortable win over Terry Simmons and Peter Pollard.
Game 2 – Graham Mendham and John Pollard won five of the last six ends to defeat Ray Neely and Hilton Henry.
Game 3 – Doug Hillier, John Davis and Gordon Holland just got home over John Coffee, Kevin Baker and Peter Williams.
Game 4 – Hilton Goodacre, Neville Kable and Gordon Death had a close win over Man Mooney, Tom Beck and Peter Davies.
Friday twilights saw 32 bowlers play with proceeds going to the Westmead Children’s Hospital.
A total of $1,400 was raised on the night.
Game 1 – R Buesnel, E Parker and J McHugh only lost four ends to defeat G Roach, K Ryan and M Kinghorne.
Game 2 – J Ryan, T Simmons and J Davis won four of the last five ends to defeat D Hodson, H Crase and B Gresser.
Game 3 – M McAlister, V Woodford and W Eason had a comfortable win over N Morgan, D Cook and B Seberry.
Game 4 – C Wade and R Wade just accounted for T Ryan and M Chapman.
Game 5 – R Morgan ad P Davies held on to beat B Davey and R Dwyer.
Game 6 – A Perkins, R Wilcox and J Adams scored three shots on the last end to have a draw with C Bright, R Stinson and M Cowan.
The Sunday chicken run attracted only six bowlers as the pennant season started.
S Connelly, Brad and M Kingham just won over G Roach, W McLaren and K Ryan.
In the pennants played on Sunday the number 2’s had a 4-2 win over Bathurst City with Lee Stinson’s team having a comfortable win.
In the 6’s Blayney was unfortunately beaten .....

MILLTHORPE BOWLING CLUB
Two games of championships were played over the weekend - the first game was between D McDonald and S Paul vs. G Knoblanche and J Asimus.
The second game was R Buesnel and W Radburn vs. R Southcombe and N Southcombe. Rodney and Wayne defeated Rob and Neil 23/17.
In the pennants on Sunday, Millthorpe 6’s defeated Newstead 6/0 74/42.
W Eason won 33/12, S Chapman won 17/13 and D McAlister won 24/17.
Teams this Sunday against Blayney at Blayney are; No 6’s - L Chapman, R Buesnel, E Parker, S Chapman, D McDonald, R Wade, N Southcombe, D McAlister, W Aurisch, K Parker, W Radburn, and W Eason.
No 7’s also play Blayney at Blayney; A Hamilton, G Parker, W McKenna, M McAlister, D Hamilton, A Sherlock, C Langham, R Southcombe, M Amies, P Wells, J Halliday, K McNamara.
Reserves are G Davidson, C Davis, G Bently, D Ryan, A Toynton and M Roach.
Players are asked to be at Blayney Bowling Club by 12.15pm.
It is a roll up at 12.45pm for a 1pm start.
Twilight bowls were played last Thursday with a good roll up.
Winners were J Finn and M McAlister with W Radburn and W Eason the runners-up.

BLAYNEY WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB NEWS
Our members played Pennants last Thursday, February 24 – so no social bowls were played.
Presidents Day will be held this Saturday, March 5.
The Women’s Bowling Club will be catering so please advise Royal Hammond if you are able to assist.
We wish President Barry a very enjoyable day.
The first quarterly meeting of the year will be held on March 10, followed by a committee meeting.
Hostesses for today are Dorrie Goodacre and Val Bradin.
On March 10, Deidre Cook and Belle McLoughlin will host.
