Thursday twilight bowls winners were Kevin O’Leary and Margaret McAlister, runners up were Wayne Radburn and Craig Langham.
Twilights are on every Thursday, names in by 5:10 for a 5:30 start. Everyone is welcome.
This Saturday the men’s blue and the mixed club challenge teams are playing Dubbo Railway at Millthorpe. It will be a 1pm start. There will be BBQ lunch available from about 12pm.
The final of the triples championships will be played on Sunday 15th November at 1:30.
BLAYNEY MEN’S BOWLS
Wednesday saw 18 bowlers play 3 games of triples with results being: - Peter Williams, Graham Mendham and Keith Hodge won 6 of the last 8 ends to beat John Ryan, Leo Marriott and Rex Nowland.
Ray Neely, Terry Simmons and Tony Cheshire just held on to defeat Dennis Dury, Kevin Baker and Bruce Gresser and in the other game Gordon Death, John Davis and Neville Kable won by the barest of margins over L Crase, Harry Grase and Man Moony.
Friday night twilights are now getting popular due to the 5:30pm start so come along and have some fun. Put your name in by 5pm, for this night of enjoyment.
Last Friday we had 36 Bowlers or “so called” Bowlers on the green showing their ability or lack of it.
Results were: - D Hodson, P Davies and J Davies easily accounted for M Brooking, K O’Leary and H Crase.
D Hamilton, K Chapman and A Toynton never gave J Claypole, D Cook and B Sebery a chance.
C Townsend, C Gosewish and A O’Dea won 7 of the last 9 end to account for M Lees, P Lees and A Nunn.
K Parker, R Buesnel and E Parker only allowed W Hobby, C Bright and T Ryan 4 ends to win.
M Dowsey, R Blake and B Bradley scored a shop on the last end to beat B Bradley, B Lees and S Chapman and the teams of T Simons, T Cheshire and B Gresser and V Woodford, M McAlister and W Eason could not be separated and ended with a draw.
Sunday chicken run had 21 starters with Ron Drawing up 5 games of pairs.
Results were: - G Roach and H Smith beat G Parker and G Egan.
B Hewitt, T Cheshire and M Kinghorne beat B Hewitt, John Hewitt and T Ryan.
July Hewitt and M McKenna were too good for C Prosper and M Kingham.
S Parker and B Prosper accounted for C Bright and R Morgan and K Ryan and R Stinson beat W McLaren and T Fenton.
The weekend the No1 team from the club go to Crookwell to play them in the club challenge on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. The team is L Stinson, C Wade, R Stinson, P Weatherburn, G Cunning ham, J Russell and G Ford with A Nunn reserves. Anyone unavailable please contact Ron Stinson.
The lights on No3 green should be working within the next couple of weeks so look out for a big opening night.
As from this Thursday’s Market Night we will be giving away 4 hams each week till Christmas so come along and try your luck. Two hams will be up for grabs on Friday nights from next week.
A monster Christmas raffle is being run with a holiday to Port Macquarie as first prize so get your tickets.
Don’t forget the 3 Badge Draws on Friday night with draws at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.

Social Bowls J Adams and M Marshall defeated J Claypole and R Hammond 17/7.
U Stonestreet, J Patterson and N Morgan defeated D Hodson, D Cook and V Brodin 16/11.
The competition was won by J Adams.
Birthday Daphne Yeats 30th October.
