MILLTHORPE BOWLING CLUB NEWS
Thursday twilights winners were Ben Cooper and Kevin O’Leary, runners up were Wayne Radburn, Marie Brooking and Doug Hilliar.
The next Club challenge games are on Saturday November 7, both our mixed team and men’s team play Dubbo at Millthorpe.
There will be a working-bee at the Club on Saturday October 31. Everyone is welcome, even if you can only give an hour or so of your time it will be gratefully appreciated.
Market Night is on Sunday November 1 so come in and try your luck at winning some of the many prizes.
BLAYNEY MEN’S BOWLS
This Wednesday we only had 12 bowlers for two games of triples.
Leo Marriott, Ray Neely and Jim Russell were too strong for John Pollard, Bruce Gresser and Gordon Holland and Robin Coates, John Davis and Kevin Baker defeated Terry Simmons, Graham Mendham and Gordon Death even though they dropped a seven on the last end.
With Friday twilights reverting to 5:30pm we had 26 bowlers on the green.
Results were: M Brooking, R Buesnel and E Parker were too good for Matt Rimmer, D Hodson and Mark Rimmer; D Woodford, M McAlister and W Eason beat C Bright, W Hobby and T Ryan.
T Fenton, C Goswich and A O’Dea defeated B Brooking, S Connelly and M Dowsey and A Toynton, D Hildy, J Davis and B Gresser were too strong for T Simmons, R Dwyer, T Cheshire and P Davies.
Don’t forget Friday Twilights now start at 5:30pm with names in by 5:00pm.
This week we have Alan Nunn and Lee Stinson playing in the State Pairs play offs.
We wish them both all the best.
The semi finals of the Mixed Pairs can be played as soon as can be arranged by those concerned.

Social bowls results – October 22
Two games of pairs were played, Royal Hammond and Del Hodson defeated Val Brodin and Una Stonestreet 26 to 13.
In the second game Nel Morgan and Judy Claypole defeated Mona Marshall and Dal Cook 12 to 11.
Birthdays – Del Hodson on October 23 and Dalma Cook celebrated her 80th birthday on October 24.
