On Saturday February 4 members took to lush greens fairways, under blue skies to play an 18 hole stroke event for the Greg Griffiths trophy and the February monthly medal.

The winner on the day was Tony Bowers with net 64, the A grade runner up was Garry Keen with net 65 and the B grade runner up was Mick Simmons with net 67.

Ball competition winners were Jason Davis net 66, Scott Oborn net 66 and Mick Tyrrell 69 off the stick for a net 66.

Nearest the pin winners, with their tee shots to flag at the back of the par three second and eleventh hole, were; A grade - Greame Summerson 159cms and B grade - Keiran Patrick 101cms.

The silver circle jackpot for landing ones tee shot to the par three sixth hole within 100cms on the front nine was won by Mick Miskell.

This Saturday members will play an 18 hole stableford event for the Fred Rowland trophy, on Saturday February 25 members will play an 18 hole stroke event for the Blayney Newsagents trophy and the March monthly medal and later that evening the Blayney Golf Club will hold it's annual presentation night starting at 7pm with tickets costing $20 which includes a meal and entertainment.

On March 17 members and guests will play a two person ambrose event for the Harry Rosser Memorial chicken run sponsored by Lisa and Scott Oborn with the back nine to be played off the chicken run tees. A special event on the day will be the opening of Harry's walk and the unveiling of a plaque.

On Saturday March 31 members and guests will play a two person ambrose event for the Murray Patrick memorial.

On Monday February 6 the veterans played an 18 hole stableford event for a club trophy, the winner was Beryl Tolhurst with 40 stableford points.

The runner up was Charlie Brown himself Jim Tolhurst with 39 stableford points.

The nearest the pin winners were Jim Tolhurst for the men and Colleen Davis for the ladies. The biggest highlight for the day was when a tree that took two weeks to fall, finally did and caused a minor tremor around the course. Good Golfing.
