BLAYNEY MEN’S GOLF NEWS
The Chicken run held on Friday January 29 saw a record created by Corey Hodder as he won the ROBANCO voucher with an unbelievable score of net 11.
The chicken winners were Trevor Morley with net 16 and Brian Turner with net 20.
On Saturday January 30 members played an 18 hole stableford event for the Royal Hotel trophy.
On a very competitive day of scoring the winner with 39 stableford points on a count back was John Giuliano.
The A grade runner up was Jason Davis with 39 points and the B grade runner up was Adam Davis with 38 points also on a count back.
The ball competition winners were Kieran Patrick 38 points, Bob Costello 37 points, Gerry Davis 36, TJ Smith 36 points and P.Paul 36 points.
The nearest the pin winner was Bill Davis 285cms.
This Saturday members and guests will play an 18 hole 2 person ambrose for the annual Murray Patrick Family Shield with one non handicap player required to win the shield, it is hoped that the weather this year will enable all player to complete the 18 holes and have a fun and enjoyable day. LYNDHURST GOLF CLUB
Between playing golf and watching the tennis and cricket, members have been kept very busy lately.
Well done to Kelvin, Brett and Brant who played in Orange on Sunday, no stories to hand.
Captain Hill is awaiting confirmation on several dates to enable our golfing calendar to be finalized.
Please check the noticeboard for details of what is on both golf-wise and socially.
The weekly members draw has still not been won. It is well worth turning up for on Saturday evening.
An under strength Cowboys side were no match for Grenfell on Saturday making for a long trip home.
The lads received a bye this weekend giving them time to prepare for their away match versus Wyangala the following week.
Unfortunately some days are stone boys.
Appearing in the birthday book and receiving many happy returns were Ross Johnstone and Lindsay McFawn.
Monthly activities are back to normal with Meal Deal this Friday February 5 and Market Night Sat February 6. Hope you can make it.

LADIES’ GOLF
Last round of the summer competition saw Gwen Hadlow come in with the winning score of 36 Stableford points.
Runner up yet again with 34 points was Wendy Crisp.

B Tolhurst 31 pts
S Bevear 28 pts
A Davis 20 pts
No one took out nearest the pins.
Gwen Hadlow had a gobble 6 on the par 5 7th hole.
The Ladies Tournament has been set for March 18 2010. So keep this in mind.
VETERANS’ GOLF
Thanks to Lindsay and Veronica McKellar for their donation of two dozen golf balls.
The McKellars where foundation members, now retiring from golf they will have one less worry
Winner on the day was Bob Costello with a score of 37pts.
Colleen Davis continued her good form with second place on 34pts, on a count back from Jim Tolhurst.
Nearest the pin saw the same old faces, the OLD MASTER Trevor Morley on the job again, and Colleen Davis the ladies winner.
Colleen’s golf has gone ahead in leaps and bounds, but the handicapper may now have her measure.
Once again it was the usual hot day; let’s hope the rain is not too far away. Next game Monday February 8.
SUNNY RIDGE GOLF CLUB
Last weekend we played a Chook Run. The winner was Darren Cole.
Next week will be a 12 hole chook run, play on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Golf Carts are available.
Brown Fox Cafe re-opening this Friday, Under New Management, from 7pm to 9pm.
