Carcoar bowls over Woodstock

19 Nov, 2009 04:50 PM
Carcoar travelled to Woodstock last Saturday afternoon for their next game.

Woodstock started at the crease and within three overs the first wicket fell, with S. Wilson being out leg before wicket.

N. Harbowski continued a fine afternoon of bowling with D. Hunt leaving the crease for being leg before wicket within the next couple of his overs.

The middle order pairing of C. McCourt and J. Simmons setled and gained Woodstock’s best scores for the day of 19 and 21 runs respectively.

The Carcoar bowlers N. Harbowski, A. Lowe, L. Bird and P Smith were firing on all cylinders and Woodstock were all out for 70 runs in 15 overs.

After drinks C. Hobby and N. Harbowski headed out for the Crows. C. Hobby was bowled in the second over and L. Bird replaced him at the crease.

N. Harbowski achieved a massive 54 runs not out and L. Bird held out with him and made 9 runs.

The pairing passed Woodstock’s score in the eighth over and secured the first win of the season for Carcoar.

This week is a home game and the Crows would love to have your support down at the showground. Go the Carcoar Crows!
