Vision impaired hear clearly

Blayney Shire’s vision impaired residents are now able to borrow up to six audio books at a time thanks to the three new Audio Navigators acquired by the Blayney Library.

The devices were purchased by Reliance Member Banking and the Blayney Shire Council after a resident made a request to HealthOne Blayney Integration Care Coordinator Sally Bembrick.

The device, which works similar to an MP3 player, is specially designed with large buttons to make it easy to use. Up to six books are preloaded on the device at the library for the user to listen to at their leisure.
